In 2025, I closed my business and went back to corporate—something I swore I'd never do—and spent months wrestling with what that meant about who I am and the future of my work.
Shortly after, I broke up with my astrology practice entirely and found myself letting go of an identity I'd carried for years. I’m still moving through the strange mix of relief and grief that came from watching that part of myself die.
When I shared about that a few weeks ago, your response floored me.
Message after message of "me too." Of you sharing about how you’re quietly navigating your own endings, wondering if you’re doing it wrong because you don’t have the next thing figured out yet.
So I invited a few of you to join me in a conversation so that we could sit together in a dialogue about the discomfort of endings and share our stories to help each other feel a little less alone.
What I didn't expect is that the conversation would also plant seeds for what's next.
A small group gathered on Zoom to talk about endings.
We shared about feeling depleted from casually dating clients instead of going deep. About the instinct to fight to the bitter end rather than trusting things to die naturally. And about the falling away of friendships—not from conflict, but from suddenly recognize we’re on different paths.
The full audio of our conversation below. It's raw and unpolished—just a group of people processing endings together in real time.
If you're navigating an ending right now, I think you'll find something in here that resonates. And if nothing else, you'll know you're not alone.

The Energetics of a 9 Year
2025 is a 9 year in numerology.
The 9 YEAR is the end of an era. You're 'going back' to claim your future. It is time to complete unfinished business, reach conclusions and tie up loose en
creativenumerology.com/9-year-cycle
That means collectively, we're in a phase of completion. A closing of a chapter that will open the door for us to claim our future. This is the end of a cycle where everything that no longer serves us naturally falls away.
This phase has been hard, but like everything, it’s temporary.
Nature moves in cycles. Spring doesn't rush into summer without winter doing its work first. Trees don't apologize for dropping their leaves. They just let go.
And right now we are dropping our leaves in preparation for the beginnings that will come when we move into a 1 year in 2026. We’re fertilizing the ground in which we will plant new seeds.
Whatever ending your sitting in right now—if you've closed a business, left a career, outgrown a community, or feel like you're shedding an old version of yourself without knowing what the next step will be—you're not broken, and you’re definitely not alone.
Clarity will come in the stillness.
What's Next
When you listen to the conversation, you may notice the baby phoenix beginning to poke its head out of the ashes of my own ending.
And while it’s tempting to charge ahead, I’m doing my best not to force this baby to grow up too fast. I’m using this quiet that comes with the winter solstice to give it more time to incubate, knowing I’ll be given more pieces of the picture while I wait.
This is the last time you’ll hear from me this year and I hope by now you feel the full permission to let go without needed a full plan for what's next.
Just sit and trust. The clarity will come, I promise.
We’re at the end of a year of endings, about to begin a year of beginnings.
And you're going to be ready.
Here are some things I screenshot from the internet on this topic this week…
Sending love,
